Pine Lane

This existing home, situated on a 6.7-acre private lot in Saugerties, NY, was purchased in 2021 as a holiday and weekend gathering place for family and friends. The ranch home, built in the late 1970s, required a gut renovation, new addition, and accessible design accommodations for the family’s disabled daughter and elderly parents.  Widened doorways and walkways, including roll-in showers in two bathrooms, were part of the revamp. The existing carport was increased in size to accommodate an accessible van as well as a ramp to provide an accessible entrance to the house. Existing roof beams were retained as part of the original design and character of the house. Newly installed, reconfigured and energy-efficient, windows and a new deck, equipped with a hot tub, offer picturesque views of the Catskill mountains. The “in-law” suite addition is complete with a bedroom, full bathroom, changing closet, and private sitting room.
