Sedgewood
This project involves designing a lakefront weekend home for a NYC- based couple seeking a place to retreat and disconnect from their hectic work schedules in the finance and media industries. Located in a private community in the heart of the Lower Hudson Valley, the property is bordered by protected watershed land and surrounded by trees, affording a sense of seclusion in contrast to city life. Direct access to the lake invites opportunities for water activities and the scenic landscape with flower gardens offers a welcome respite. The couple intends to host gatherings of family and friends and thus among the priorities are creating ample spaces for entertaining including a dining room that extends to a spacious outdoor patio to accommodate summer soirees with sunset views.
